The Kirov Meat Processing and Packing Factory is one of the largest enterprises of the North-Western Region of the Russian Federation in cattle slaughter, cooked meats, half-finished products, food fats, technical and fodder items production.

The factory was put into operation in 1930. In the result of reconstruction the capacity of the enterprise was increased from 10 to 50 tn of meat and from 5 to 25 tn of sausages per shift.

In 1994 on the basis of the meat processing plant stock-holding company «The Kirov Meat Processing and Packing Factory» was set up.

The work-shops have home-and-forcing made equipment, which enables to make high quality production. In the initial cattle processing workshop cattle, horses, pigs, sheep and goats slaughter lines were assembled. There is the equipment to treat half-finished products, guts, skins, to process fats, bones, blood and waste products. Sausages-and-culinary workshop produces wide range of cooked meats and half-finished products. Wasteless raw stuff processing was introduced at the factory.

The working collective is constantly looking for ways of the production efficiency increase, much attention is paid to modernization of equipment, technological process perfection, production assortiment improvement.

In the recent years vacuum packing of cooked meats was introduced, as well as salting and ripen of products in massage units with multi-needle-shaped syringe using, half-finished products sections have up-to-date packing lines. A network of company shops is developing.
